I have heard about infrared saunas on blogs. Has anyone out there tryed one of these? What are they anyway? I noticed this page with strong information on them.

Infrared Sauna difference vs traditional saunas

What is the difference between far infrared saunas & traditional saunas?
The main differences you will see are in the comfort levels. Far infrared saunas operate at temperatures 30 to 40°C below what a traditional sauna operates at and it doesn’t have moisture in it, so you’re not dealing with a harsh, claustrophobic atmosphere. From a health standpoint, there is no comparison. Traditional saunas are near infrared and just heat the surface layer of skin and you store very little toxins in that layer. For pain relief, think of a heating pad on your shoulder and how long it takes for the heat to penetrate deep into the joint. With far infrared it immediately penetrates up to 2 inches and brings with it a lot of fresh blood flow and oxygen. Also due to the more comfortable atmosphere inside of a far infrared sauna, people are able to stay longer and take advantage of the health benefits. From a functional standpoint, far infrared saunas have completely taken over the market. They are portable, assembling in about 45 minutes the first time. If you decide you want to change locations it takes about 20 minutes to put one up or down. They plug straight into a household outlet and require no plumbing or ventilation. They also tend to be much less expensive to purchase and to operate, costing about $.11 per hour to operate. This means if you use the sauna every day for an hour, for a month straight, you would see less than five dollars on your power.
