Cassandra Peterson wurde 1951 geboren und wuchs in Colorado Springs auf.
Im Alter von zwei Jahren erlitt sie einen schweren Unfall, bei dem kochendes Wasser einen Großteil ihrer Haut verbrühte. Die Narben sind bis heute geblieben: Gesichts- und Körper-Make Up nehmen täglich zwei Stunden in Anspruch.
